Old Post Office

At work we are starting this Photography Club and I of course jumped at the chance. Everyone is a bit intimidated by my lens and having seen some of my lucky shots from the past, everyone assumes I am a great photographer, which is clearly not the case. But anyway, I did get some good shots. We are chose a location each time, and just capturing the details. Its meant to help us, as designers , really notice the details and beauty of the built world, and in turn it will help us to design better structures, places, things, etc. Here are some of my shots from the excursion to the Old Post Office in Downtown STL.

I PASSED!

What did I pass you ask? My Landscape Architecture Registration Examinations. Its a 5 part exam that tests my knowledge as a professional and basically upon passing, allows me to market myself as a licensed landscape architect in the state of Missouri. I passed them all on the first try! the passing rate is 30%. BOOM! Love it! I was really scared i wouldn't pass this last one but I did and now its over Forever!

On a related note, I will still not do your backyard.(Unless you are family) Skidoosh.

I kicked that test's ASS

Back in the Mix...

Ive been officially back in the US for about a week and a half now and I finally feel completely normal. Having never experienced jetlag, I was ill-prepared for its komodo dragon like attack style. bitch.
It lets you seem like you are gonna get by with just a little fatigue, nothing a glass of OJ and a Five hour energy can't curb, and then it hits you. You wake up on day two feeling like you got murdered. Again having not experience being murdered, I can't fully attest to its negative effects, but if i were a betting man, I would bet this leftover, completely useless japanese penny that it sucks a dong. I felt like i had been hit by a bus, and not one of those cushy coaches with televsions and bathrooms, im talking yellow school bus with the steel grill and flip out stop sign. (Not only painful, but kind of embarrassing). I have been trying to recover and get sleep. But my internal clock was so off i was falling asleep at 3am and then forcing myself to wake up at 6 for work. Bad idea. Anyway, I am finally back in the mix. A few unisoms and a weekend watching the entire Series of "Weeds" has got me back on track and ready to take on the world. Just in time for some more 90 degree weather. Hey, At least I'm not sunburnt. (Knock on polylaminate)

BTW, Weeds is an amazing show, great storyline, characters, everything. I highly reccomend it. And Netflix on Wii. Its cramazing.

Me & Emma

My sister in law Courtney took this picture and I couldn't not post it. I love the Emma.

RYUKYU MURA

We went to a traditional Okinawan Village and saw the Dancing and Drumming Ceremonies. The kids loved it. We had an extra nugget, Jackson, with us because Courtney's sister Kathleen (Jackson's mom) had her second child, Gavin yesterday! Congrats to the new mom, and in the meantime, Kate was happy to have her buddy Jackson along for the morning.
